January 27 10:00 am
We received 10cm of snow yesterday and a few more cm overnight. We are happy to report that we are open for skiing and snowshoeing! Our Yellow and Green ski trails are open, single tracks in, generally well covered with some thin spots. We have also been able to open on the Shortcut Orange and some parts of the Red and Blue ski trails. As always be aware and take care, especially on hills when there are thin spots.
It looks like we are in for a bit of everything today. It’s been snowing on and off (a good thing), and the sun has been peeking out too (a bad thing for the trails in some areas…). There are good cold temperatures in the forecast for a while so keep doing your snow dance!
Details of advanced ski trail conditions:
Orange: Shortcut Orange is open and groomed.
Red & Blue: Log chute, Expressway, and the Back Hill are closed. Front Hill and Kipp’s Climb are open. You can then join up with the Shortcut Orange.
Please note that trail passes must be pre-purchased online here (walk-in tickets will not be available and due to restrictions it is possible for us to sell out of tickets). Passes will available as soon as we know we will be open. This may be the day of or a day or two ahead depending on the trail conditions.
Snowshoe rentals are available. Ski rentals are not available during the provincial lockdown. Click here to see our complete COVID-19 protocols and info.
We are happy to report that we have made some improvements to our trails this year including a dedicated skate lane on our yellow trail and some bypass routes for more flexibility in choosing your trails.
Thank-you for all the support so far. We hope to enjoy many more days of outdoor winter fun this season… hope to see you soon!
