Day Camp: For Youth SK to Grade 8
Circle R Day Camp is a wonderful and memorable experience for your child, no matter what age. Day campers experience the thrills, fun, and adventure of camp and return home each evening. Day campers can play, explore, spend time in the nature and make new friends while having the time of their lives! Best of all, day campers become part of a caring camp community that encourages and supports them while they learn and grow.
Day Camp Program
Day Camp exposes campers to a wide variety of activities. Day campers are placed in groups of eight to ten with one or two counsellors; our youngest “Tyke” campers have two counsellors with each group. Including program staff, the overall ratio of campers to staff at Day Camp is 3:1 and the relatively small capacity of campers per session allows more personal interaction and greater flexibility in day-to-day programming. The camp day runs from 9am to 4:15 pm. Campers are split into different age groups: Tykes (SK – Grade 2), Juniors (Grades 3 – 4), Intermediates (Grades 5 – 6), and Seniors (Grades 7 – 8).

Horses and The Riding Program
There’s plenty of horse time for everyone! Day campers get to experience western pleasure trail riding as well as care for their horses such as grooming and tacking. As well our trained staff offer Equine-assisted Mindfulness experiences which helps to deepen the campers awareness and connection with the horse and themselves. Circle R riding programs help campers become more comfortable and confident around horses, increase their riding skills and knowledge, have fun, and enjoy the benefits and excitement of working with horses!
