UNDERSTANDING EARTH AND SPACE SYSTEMS – ROCKS AND MINERALS
In this highly engaging interactive program, students examine the characteristics and properties of rocks and minerals in our natural environment. The session emphasizes inquiry-based teaching and incorporates literacy, numeracy and investigation skills. Through games, cooperative activities and experiments, students develop their awareness of the impact on the environment of human use of rocks and minerals. The unique nature of the Circle R setting and program stimulate higher level thinking experiences for all of the students involved.
