Circle R Ranch is deeply saddened to confirm that a tragic incident occurred on our property on May 27, 2024. Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of the deceased during this incredibly difficult time.
We can confirm this incident is not connected to the business of Circle R Ranch.
Circle R Ranch has been a cherished place for outdoor education and recreation for many years. The safety and well-being of our campers, participants, staff, and the community have always been and remain our highest priorities.
We cooperated fully with the OPP during their onsite investigation, which is now concluded. The OPP has also previously confirmed that there was no ongoing threat to public safety.
As such, camp will continue to be open for all planned programming, including school group visits, weekend use, PA day camps and summer camp.
If you are registered for PD Day activities scheduled for Friday, May 31, we can confirm camp will go ahead as scheduled. We do not anticipate any impact on the planned experience and look forward to welcoming you Friday morning.
We are committed to providing further information to our camp community as the situation allows, and we kindly ask for privacy on behalf of family and friends affected by this tragedy.
