Mindfulness and Horses – FULL
October 31, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
UPDATE (9/22/20): this program is now full! Thanks to all who registered!
It all starts with noticing what is going on in us and around us, without trying to change anything. It’s about being before doing while finding calm in the chaos. This is part of mindfulness, present moment nonjudgemental awareness. It is a way to experience our world that helps build resilience and peace.
The Mindfulness and Horses program will give participants an opportunity to experience mindfulness in nature and with horses. It is a chance to slow down and take a moment to relax and check in with ourselves. This program includes individual reflection, play-based activities in small cohort groups, time on the ground with the herd, and time grooming horses. We will cover an introduction to mindfulness, relaxation techniques, the basics of emotional intelligence, and more.
Suitable for eight years and older and for individual adults, couples, or families of any skill or experience level. Seventeen years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. We will be outside the whole time. Please dress for the weather. This program may run in light rain but we would contact with regards to inclement weather. Rubber boots are recommended or close-toed shoes that can get muddy.
This program is currently being offered three different days: October 3 OR 17 OR 31, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registration is limited (12 participants maximum per session plus 2 facilitators). For any questions and to register, please call the Main Office at 519-471-3799 or email leah.circlerranch@gmail.com.
