Our Mission at Camp is to nurture self development and connection with animals, nature, and the camp community.
At Circle R Ranch it is we strive to provide a safe and supportive environment in which our campers and community members can feel respected, comfortable and that they belong.
If a camper compromises the safety or well-being of others or themselves, we will make every effort to address the issue through problem solving and behavioural coaching. Parents/guardians will be notified and consulted, and will be kept informed. It must be understood that if negative behaviour persists, Circle R Ranch reserves the right to remove the camper from the camp community. There can be no refund or credit of camp fees when a camper is sent home
In some circumstances, such as when a camper is engaged in illegal activities or a camper’s behaviour jeopardizes the physical or emotional safety of another community member, a camper may be removed from the camp environment without warning.
There is also a strict set of policies and procedures for our staff that is available for viewing upon request.
The Circle R Code of Conduct includes, but is not limited to, the following guidelines:
- Smoking, alcohol, and illicit drugs are strictly prohibited at camp.
- Knives, tools, or any implement that our staff deem dangerous or potentially dangerous are prohibited, and will be requested to be held in the camp office during the camper’s stay.
- Cell phones: possession and use of cell phones at camp is prohibited.
- Inappropriate behaviour, such as bullying, teasing, harassment, swearing, or acts of aggression are not tolerated at camp. What may seem harmless to some may have lasting emotional or physical consequences for others.
- Campers must remain inside our designated boundary (this will be explained to campers during their initial camp tour).
Thank you for reading this document. At Circle R we take pride in working with our campers and their families to ensure everyone has a positive experience and we look forward to another great session of camp!
