July 27 Update for Fall Programs 2021:
We at Circle R Nature School are staying up to date with the changing situation of the COVID 19 pandemic in Middlesex-London.
We are feeling very thankful we have this beautiful and diverse landscape to share and allow children and adults to access fresh air and exercise in nature.
We, like all businesses, have had to adapt and develop our own safety and health protocols for the remainder of this pandemic. As with the seasons, the situation is ever-changing, and we will keep our families posted on any changes in protocol as we are informed by our local health unit.
If for some reason the Ontario government brings our locality into lockdown and deems it unsafe to run our programs, you will be refunded for the remaining sessions.
Our protocols at Circle R Nature School are based on the Ontario Day Camps COVID-19 Day Camp Guidance document. They are:
-participants in our program do not have to keep physical distance of 2 metres from other participants that are not in their household (like siblings or family). Masks are not mandatory while outside. However our staff must continue to keep distance throughout the program. If one of our staff have to enter you or your child’s 2 metre space during our programs, both parties must put on a mask.
-our programs are primarily outdoors. However, there is a dedicated program space which we may use in case of severe weather and cold. Any time spent indoors, whether to use our bathrooms or warm up, participants must wear a mask.
-sharing of items will be kept to a minimum, and proper cleaning and sanitizing protocols are in place
-hand hygiene will be practiced regularly
-if any participant is showing symptoms on the day of the program, they are asked to not come for the day. If any child is showing obvious symptoms during the program, parents will be contacted to come pick them up.
-all participants will be screened using the COVID-19 Self-assessment tool before coming to Nature school. This tool can be found here:
